What’s Happening with Alicia and Moses & Rock?

I have taken the decision to move both the Alicia Friend series and Moses and Rock into Kindle Unlimited. Adam Park e-books remain wide for now.

What does Kindle Unlimited mean?

It means the e-books will be exclusive to Amazon for a set period after which I may choose to move them back to wide platforms, should enough interest be shown from readers.

Paperbacks are still available in the same places they always have been.

The e-books can be purchased as usual, but if you sign up to the Kindle Unlimited service (available in most territories; details below) you get a free trial, at the end of which you pay a small monthly fee. You can then borrow up to 10 eligible books at a time, and get through as many as you like in a month (as long as you return one of the 10 before moving on to the 11th).

Why Move to Exclusivity?

It’s a decision all writers have to make eventually. To continue down one path or sidestep to another. In my case, I have spent years with all my e-books available on many platforms, but to keep maintaining them is becoming impractical in the current climate.

This is an admittedly mercenary, money-led decision as I struggle to find new readers outside Amazon. I apologise if you are an Apple/Kobo/Nook/GPlay reader who cannot complete the series.

If you’d like to read more Alicia Friend or Moses & Rock e-books, but do not wish to fund Mr Bezos’s next trip into space, please drop me a note at contact@addavies.com

But I Don’t Own a Kindle

No problem. You don’t need a Kindle e-reader or Kindle Fire device. The Kindle app is available on all Android and Apple iOS devices – phones, tablets, etc. So wherever you currently read e-books, you should be able to get Kindle books, too.

How Can I Sign Up?

I have supplied some links below to the .COM, UK, CA and AU stores where you can start your free trial right away. There are no minimum terms, so you can cancel anytime (even on day 29 of your free trial).
